CANDIED PEANUTS

Candied toffee peanuts are the ultimate sweet and salty snack. Perfect for gifting, serving on a charcuterie board, or just snacking, this easy recipe is sure to be a favorite.

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons salted butter

¼ cup + 2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt

3 cups dry roasted peanuts

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 300°F. Line a 15x10x1- inch nonstick baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the sugar, butter, corn syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Add the peanuts and stir to coat evenly.

Spread the peanuts onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, until the mixture is bubbly and lightly golden, stirring nuts every 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven, sprinkle on some sea salt if desired and allow the nuts to cool completely.

Once cooled, break the nuts apart with a metal spatula.
