INGREDIENTS:
4 cups cubed Challah bread (leave the cut up bread out overnight so it can dry out)
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs left at room temperature
4 tablespoons good quality cocoa
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup sugar
¾ cup chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place bread in a 9 x 9 inch square, buttered baking dish. In a bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, a dash of salt, vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon. Add chocolate chips. Pour over bread and let sit for 15 minutes, so bread can absorb mixture. Bake for 30 minutes, or until top is a little crunchy.
Serve warm with fresh whipped cream. Enjoy!
